Leading Clearwater Criminal Defense Lawyer
Attorney Donald F. Tinny is a Clearwater native, growing up in the area. He graduated from Clearwater High School, the first stop on his road to academic excellence. He went on to attend the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree. While at the University, he played football and was a three-year varsity athlete. Turning his pursuit towards law, Attorney Tinny went to the University Of Nebraska College Of Law for two years. He finished his Juris Doctor at the University Of Florida College Of Law as a visiting student.
Dedicated to upholding justice and properly representing his clients, Attorney Tinny is a member of the Florida, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg Bar Association. During the beginning of his legal career, he served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida.
Attorney Tinny served in many roles including:
Lead Trial Attorney
DUI Manslaughter Prosecutor
Domestic Violence Prosecutor
North County Traffic Division Prosecutor
Attorney Tinny also served as an instructor at the St. Petersburg College SEPSI Police Academy. While working with the prosecution, he realized that not all cases were black and white. Attorney Tinny now heads the criminal defense section at Tinny, Meyer & Piccarreto, P.A. He utilizes the insight he gained a prosecutor to represent his clients.
