Kevin
J. Piccarreto, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology
from the State University of New York at Utica/Rome in 1995,
magna cum laude. He received his doctor of jurisprudence
degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1998, cum
laude. Mr. Piccarreto completed a Federal Judicial Internship
with the Honorable Elizabeth Jenkins. He was admitted to practice
law in the State of Florida in 1999 and is a member of the
Florida Bar, St. Petersburg Bar Association, Clearwater Bar
Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. After
completing law school, he served as an Assistant State Attorney
for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida,
where he tried numerous jury and non-jury misdemeanor and
felony criminal cases. Also, he held the position of Lead
Trial Attorney and was assigned to the North County Traffic
Division. He is a former member of the Florida Prosecuting
Attorneys Association and was trained as a domestic violence
prosecutor.
After leaving the State Attorney's Office,
he went into private practice where he has defended clients
in their criminal and DUI matters and has represented individuals
in divorce cases and all types of family law cases. He has
also represented individuals in domestic violence injunction
cases. Throughout his career he has gained significant training
and experience regarding domestic relations and the dynamics
needed for representing client during their crisis.
Mr. Piccarreto is a member of the Florida
Bar's Family Law Section. He has represented clients in all
types of Marital and Family Law cases, including contested
and non- contested divorces, custody disputes, child support,
Paternity, Post Judgment Modifications proceedings involving
alimony, child support, custody, and visitation, contempt
hearings, adoptions, marital and property settlement agreements,
and jurisdictional challenges.
Mr. Piccarreto has presented informational
public seminars in the areas of Estate Planning, Asset Preservation,
and Divorce and Family Law issues. He has also been a guest
speaker regarding Advanced Directives. He is also a member
and past president of the Belleair Civic Association. Additionally,
Mr. Piccarreto was appointed to and served as a member of
the Town of Belleair’s charter review committee, and
was appointed to serve as a member of the Belleair Building
Board of Adjustment and Appeals.
