Keith
Meyer was born and raised in Pinellas County, Florida. Keith
graduated cum laude from Florida State University
in Tallahassee receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
Keith then attended the University of Florida College of Law
in Gainesville where he received his Juris Doctor degree.
Keith is an experienced trial attorney admitted to and licensed
to practice in all Florida state courts as well as the United
States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
As a former Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth
Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, Keith handled thousands
of criminal matters and was the lead prosecutor in numerous misdemeanor
and felony jury trials. As an Assistant State Attorney, Keith served
in many capacities including Lead Trial Attorney and Primary Duty
Warrant Attorney. During this time Keith was responsible for the
investigation and prosecution of all manner of criminal matters
including but not limited to DUI, theft, sex crimes, probation violations,
drug trafficking, and murder.
After leaving the State Attorney’s office,
Keith went into private practice in the areas of civil and criminal
litigation. Keith has defended clients in numerous civil matters
involving nursing home negligence, construction defect and automobile
liability cases. Keith is a founding member of Tinny, Meyer &
Piccarreto, P.A. with past and present involvement in:
